Lack of updates, again!

Update ; www.alexholloway.net is my new site and alexholloway.net/blog is where I am updating all the time now. Designs / gaming and tutorials and stuff…! Thank you ;3

Hey, I was just browsing the Google Analytics and it amazed me that people still visit, which is really great. I stopped updating because Chris Lilley has his own site now! But I did love updating and got caught right up in the craze of Angry Boys, doing art, and this actual site, which I made with wordpress to hone my own skills (I’d never made one from scratch before). I will update a tiny bit more but for major content I am afraid you’ll have to goto his own site chrislilley.com! He will update a lot more. As for me I am nearly finished my design / coding for my personal site which I’ll make another post.

I had a lot of fun designing / writing questions for Ask Gran  - and will keep this site up untouched until the domain expires (but save all the stuff).

Mr G IS BACK!!

Hi Guys!!

I can only imagine what you guys have been saying since Ive been away. My reason for having to go like that was one of the worst experiences of my life, Celine took a turn for the worse, and no amount of squeezing, or lubing, helped. I took her to the vets, and she was rushed into a specialist unit, luckily, because of her abnormally large brain they were able to stimulate her anus by stimulating her brain with electrodes. After 5 hours in theatre she finally broke loose, it was such a joy, they actually found the culprit of the hyper-rectal-congestation was one of her tyres from her walking frame. I nursed her back to health, using my training as a first aider. I think the whole experience made me stronger. So, if you need advice, Im back!! Spread it!

#microway is the only way.

Hi Legends, I’ve had several people ask me some questions on Facebook and Twitter about the whole #microway thing, so I figured I’d clear it up on here!

Firstly for those of you who don’t know, the word ‘microway’ comes from a scene (possibly a deleted scene?) in Angry Boys when Blake Oakfield talks about how he used to think a microwave was called a microway.

Okay, so yesterday I (@yasmoooo) randomly tweeted the word #microway as it’s one of my favourite scenes (and words, ever!) and a fellow legend Laura (@dunnlaura) tweeted me suggesting we should get it trending!  So we spent a small amount of time in the afternoon consistently tweeting with the hastag #microway on the end. A little while later we figured we had no way near enough people, and the same person continuously tweeting the hashtag doesn’t count to get a specific topic to trend.

A few hours later we decided to give it another try and get some more people on board, so we sent tweets to Clyde Boraine (of course!) Russell Kane, Steph McIntosh, Kelly Osbourne, Shappi Khorsandi and other celebrities who have expressed their love for Chris! After some more promotion and a few RT’s we continued tweeting ridiculous things about the #microway.

After that myself and Ellie (@elliehickey) decided to tweet Chris Lilley himself asking him to RT and help us get it trending, which we both thought was a long shot. Though to our surprise a few minutes later Chris TWEETED this:

 

I genuinely didn’t think a silly tweet I made yesterday afternoon could have made something like this happen! Thank you to everyone – especially Laura for her suggestion and Ellie for her hard work, promotion and tweeting Chris with me!

Unfortunately for ‘security reasons’ according to the site, I can’t upload sceenshots of some of my favourite #microway tweets, which is pretty faggy but INSTEAD please click here and check out all of the legends who tweeted and follow them!

Sadly we didn’t get #microway trending, though we did get the legend himself to tweet the hashtag! (Which in my books is WAY superior!) But a promise is a promise! Considering that his tweet didn’t prompt his followers to tweet it, I’m guessing it wont be easy getting #microway to trend. But I promise you all, we’ll make it happen one day.
